Waterloo Regional Police Service Central Division CORE members have been successful in the recovery of 4 high-end bicycles, since the beginning of September. Investigation following the initial arrests led to further charges under the Canadian Criminal Code, Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, Highway Traffic Act and local Bylaws.
Waterloo Regional Police would like to remind the public that they should ensure they use a quality bicycle lock to secure their bicycle in a well travelled area. The public should also be proactive in recording serial numbers as all recovered bikes in these cases were returned to their lawful owners as serial numbers were recorded.
