(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Wednesday February 09, 2011, about 1:15 p.m. in the afternoon Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to the corner of Main St. and Mill St. in Milverton where a pickup truck had been just been stolen.
The truck owner had left her burgundy 2006 Ford pickup truck parked on Mill St. as she had gone to do some banking. The truck was unlocked and the keys were left in a door pouch.
(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) Shortly after 7 p.m. on Wednesday February 09, 2011 Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to a gas station / variety store on Ontario Rd. in Mitchell where a pickup truck had just been stolen.
The blue 2003 Ford F150 King Ranch extended cab pickup truck had been parked beside the store. The truck was left unlocked while the keys were left on the driver’s side floor.
Perth County OPP officers searched for both vehicles and at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Thursday February 10, 2011, an officer on patrol located both stolen trucks at an apartment complex parking lot at 57 William St. in Milverton.
The Perth County OPP is requesting anyone who may have information about these thefts, or who may have witnessed persons near the stolen vehicles in Milverton or Mitchell to contact them at 1-888-310-1122 or to call CRIME STOPPERS at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Police would also leave a GENTLE reminder to lock your vehicles, even if you are just running in to do an errand.
