(BLUEWATER, ON) – A R.I.D.E (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) checkpoint set up at Kippen Road and Airport Line resulted in a driver losing his driver’s licence for an automatic 90 days.
Just after 3:00 a.m. on July 29, 2012 the driver of a Buick LeSabre entered the checkpoint and after the officer spoke with the driver the officer detected the driver had been drinking alcohol.
Steven YOUNGMAN, age 22, from Goderich has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 milligrams of Alcohol. His court date is scheduled for September 10, 2012 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and the motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days
