(CENTRE WELLINGTON TWP, ON) – On Sunday July 21, 2013 at approximately 4:49 pm Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers set up a R.I.D.E. Program at the intersection of Wellington County Road 26, north of Wellington County Road 18 in Centre Wellington Township. A 2003 GMC Sierra entered the R.I.D.E. Program and officers had suspicion that the male driver had consumed alcohol. He was administered a Roadside Screening Device test which resulted in a fail.
Steven Payne age 43 of Orangeville has been charged with Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on August 16, 2013 to answer to the charge.
