On Friday, January 27, 2017, at about 8:15am, police attended the area of Wonderland Road and Riverside Drive after reports were received of a van on fire and an injured male there. Upon arrival, police located an injured 26 year old male who had been assisted from the burning vehicle by a passing citizen. The male was transported to hospital with burns and a stab wound, and is presently in critical but stable condition there.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident; at this time there is no reason to believe there is any risk to public safety.
