Stabbing Update

In relation to the stabbing at 760 Viscount Road on the afternoon of January 2, 2014:

As a result of continued investigation, the adult male arrested in relation to the stabbing of an adult female has been charged with attempt murder, overcoming resistance by choking, wearing a disguise in the commission of an offence and breach of probation.

The male was released from hospital this morning. He remains in police custody and will appear in court this afternoon.

The incident is being investigated as an act of domestic violence and as such the London Police Service will not identify the parties involved. The victim remains in hospital in fair condition.

Neighbours who heard a disturbance within an apartment at the address called 911 and intervened. At this time, no charges have been laid in relation to this aspect of the investigation.

Although criminal charges have been laid, the matter remains under investigation.
