Stabbing/Breach of Undertaking

At 1:47 am police responded to a call for a stabbing at the 5 points downtown. Officers arrived and located a male suffering from a superficial cut to his abdomen. The unknown suspect left the area prior to police arrival however a male with a similar description was located near the scene and investigated.

This male was currently on release for two counts of assault police with conditions not to be consuming alcohol. The male was found to have been drinking and was arrested and held for a bail hearing.

The suspect in the stabbing made good his escape and police continue to investigate.
