On March 17, 2014, members of the Guelph Police Traffic division were assigned to pro-active policing details to monitor St Patrick day festivities in the south end and downtown areas. This included a R.I.D.E which checked approximately 400 cars. This pro-active policing continued into the morning of March 18.
– On March 17, 2014 at 4:48 p.m., a vehicle was stopped on on Scottsdale Drive by Stone Road. The male driver was spoken to and given a demand for a roadside screening test which he failed.
Francesco STALTERI, 22 years of Oakville has been charged with drive over 80mg and will appear in court in April.
– On March 18, 2014 at 1:18 a.m., a vehicle was stopped on Gordon Street, south of College Avenue. The male driver was spoken to and given a demand for a roadside screening test which he failed.
Tyler CHAPMAN, 29 years of Burlington has been charged with drive over 80 mg. He will appear in court in April.
– On March 18, 2014 at 1:18 a.m., the Guelph Police received a call about a possible impaired driver. Police located the vehicle minutes later on Schroeder Crescent. The male driver was spoken to, it was determined he was impaired and he was arrested.
James ROCHE, 38 years of Kitchener has been charged with impaired driving and drive over 80 mg. He will appear in court in April.
– On March 18, 2014 at 5:19 a.m., the Guelph Police received a call about a possible impaired driver. Police located the vehicle minutes later on College Avenue and Edinburgh Road. The male driver was spoken to, it was determined he was impaired and he was arrested.
Michael RUEL, 22 years of Delhi has been charged with impaired driving and drive over 80 mg. He will appear in court in April.
