Spring Snowfall Brings A Rash Of Crashes

(PERTH COUNTY, ON) On Tuesday morning April 15, 2014, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to numerous collisions.

Snow covered roads throughout the county caught motorists off guard. Some had already removed their snow tires while others failed to slow down and drive according to road and weather conditions.

Between 6:30 and 11:00 a.m. officers responded to nine vehicular collisions scattered throughout the County. Three of the crashes involved vehicle rollovers, while five involved vehicles skidding off of roadways but remaining upright in ditches. One collision involved two vehicles, however damage was found to be minor in nature. Only minimal injuries were reported as part of these nine investigations.
