Speeding To Bathroom Leads To Vehicle Impoundment

(STRATFORD, ON) – On September 9, 2019, at approximately 7:00 p.m., a member of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Perth County detachment, observed a motor vehicle travelling on Perth Line 36 west of Stratford. The vehicle was determined to be travelling at a rate of speed that exceeded the posted speed limit by 50 km/hr and was stopped by police. The female driver advised the officer that she was trying to get her passenger to a bathroom in a hurry.

Veronica JONES, 49-years-old, of Stratford was charged with the following;

Race a motor vehicle – Excessive Speed

Her driver’s licence was seized and a driving suspension was imposed. The vehicle was towed and impounded.

She is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Stratford on a later date to answer the charge.
