Speeding Drunk Driver Caught Near Shakespeare

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) – On Monday November 9, 2015 shortly after 2 a.m. Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers on patrol in Shakespeare observed a fast moving Ford Pickup truck driving north bound on Perth Road 107 through Shakespeare.

Officers followed the pickup truck and were able to pull it over north of Amulree. The male driver failed a roadside breath test and failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests at the Stratford Police Department.

22-year-old Brendan Russell Orlin BELL of Brandford-Blenheim Township has been charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offence:

– Driving with more than 80mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear and has a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on November 23, 2015, where he will have to answer to the charges.

His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and his motor vehicle has been impounded for a period of seven days.
