Speeder Caught Going 134 On Hwy 21

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – A 30-year-old driver from Barrie has been charged with Racing after he was stopped by police speeding on Bluewater Veteran’s Highway north of Port Albert.

On July 20, 2015 at approximately 7:00 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a Ford Ranger pickup truck travelling on Bluewater Veteran’s Highway at a high rate of speed. The officer utilized a RADAR device to measure the speed of the truck and the speed was locked at 134 km/h in posted 80 km/h zone.

Anthony STEWART, 30 years of age from Barrie has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle and Fail to Surrender Driver’s Licence. His licence has been suspended for seven days and his pickup truck has been impounded for a week. He also has a court appearance scheduled for September 1, 2015 at Provincial Offences Act Court in Goderich.
