(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On July 24, 2015 at 7:19 p.m. a Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was conducting radar patrol southbound on 6 Highway and Pike Bay Road, Northern Bruce Peninsula, ON.
Police observed a red BMW 320 passing several vehicles northbound at high rates of speed. The vehicle returned into the northbound lane and continued to accelerate. A 21-year-old male, from Scarborough has been charged with race a motor vehicle, under the Ontario Highway Traffic Act. His licence has been suspended and his vehicle impounded for 7 days. He is scheduled to appear at the Owen Sound Provincial Offences Court on September 17, 2015 to answer to the charge.
