(SOUTH BRUCE COUNTY, ON) – A winter storm passed through Southern Bruce County causing poor visibility and slippery, snow packed roads. Members of the South Bruce OPP responded to 21 motor vehicle collisions between 8:00 am on November 17th, 2011 and 8:00 am on November 18th, 2011. Some of the crashes were vehicle rollovers, but there were no serious injuries reported. A key contributor at each collision scene in the winter months is “speed too fast for conditionsâ€Â. Snow tires, electronic traction control systems and all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive all contribute to safer driving, but the best practice is to reduce your speed. “Slow down, stay alert, stay in control and give everyone a chance to arrive safely at their destination this winterâ€Â, Inspector Bill Klym, Commander, South Bruce OPP.
