South Simcoe Police Daily News Release 29Sept2016

Suspended Driver

(Bradford, ON) On Wednesday September 28, 2016 just after the noon hour, a Traffic officer on patrol aboard a police motorcycle had to take evasive action to avoid being struck by a full size van that crossed the centre line north bound on Sideroad #10 @ the 12th Line of Bradford. The officer turned around after the van and stopped it a short distance away. The driver was investigated and turned out to be under suspension and did not have a drivers licence. A 21yr old Toronto man is now charged with Failing to Share Half the Roadway and Driving Under Suspension.

Industrial Accident

(Innisfil, ON) On Wednesday September 28, 2016 at 1:44 pm emergency crews were called to a construction site on Big Bay Point Road for an industrial accident that involved a 37 year old Toronto man. The man had been working at the site when he was struck by a wooden concrete from used during the construction process. The man was seriously injured but was able to speak to attending paramedics. He was eventually taken to a local hospital where he remains in stable condition. The Ministry of Labour was called in and has now taken over the investigation.
