Lock It Or Lose It
(Innisfil, ON) South Simcoe Police are again asking residents to lock their cars, after a rash of vehicle entries were reported in Innisfil on Wednesday morning. Cars were entered on Forest Street, Lamstone Street and Booth Avenue overnight Tuesday. None of the vehicles were locked, yet valuables were left inside and stolen. Police were called for three suspicious males in the area at 2:00 a.m., but the culprits were gone by the time officers arrived.
Theft from your auto is a crime of opportunity. Deny criminals the opportunity by removing your valuables. Park your car in a well lit area and keep it locked. Call 9-1-1 if you suspicious activity in your area.
Missing Elderly Woman Located
(Innisfil, ON) South Simcoe Police are applauding the community for their support during a search Tuesday afternoon for a missing elderly woman. The search began just after 2:00 p.m. A number of community members were engaged through social media, and actively searched the Alcona area for the missing lady. She was spotted by about 6:45 p.m., and returned home by officers in good health.
