Lost Elderly Woman Located

(Bradford, ON) There were a few tense minutes in Bradford on Tuesday, as an elderly woman wandered from her home. Around 1:15 p.m., South Simcoe Police responded to the Lee Avenue neighbourhood, after a man reported his wife missing. The 86 year old woman, who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s syndrome, was located within minutes after a concerned citizen spotted her in the backyard. She was returned home and was uninjured.

Warrant Arrest

(Bradford, ON) On Tuesday, January 24, 2017. South Simcoe Police received a tip that a fugitive was hiding in an apartment in Bradford. When they arrived, the woman’s mother denied that the suspect was there and invited the officers in to see for themselves. Officers located the wanted woman hiding in a closet. The 36 year old Bradford woman was arrested on a warrant and turned over to York Regional Police. Charges include Robbery, Break & Enter, Assault and Theft.

Theft From Auto

(Innisfil, ON) On Tuesday, January 24, 2017, an Innisfil man came to South Simcoe Police to report a theft. He told the officer that sometime overnight, a suspect entered his unlocked vehicle at his home on Maple Road and stole his wallet.
