Suspicious Vehicle

(Innisfil, ON) South Simcoe Police responded to a suspicious vehicle call on Booth Avenue in Alcona last night, after a citizen reported seeing suspects looking in parked cars with a flashlight. Just after 11:30 p.m., the vigilant resident called 9-1-1 after spotting the suspects. The vehicle was gone by the time officers arrived but it appears that no thefts were committed.

Warrant Arrest

(Innisfil, ON) On Tuesday, July 19, 2016, just after 11:00 p.m., South Simcoe Police attended the Tim Hortons in Alcona, after a man walked in, bleeding from a head wound. The man left the restaurant but was located nearby where he was treated by paramedics and spoken to by officers. The man refused to divulge how he had received the injury, and also refused further treatment by the paramedics. Officers discovered that the 54 year old man was wanted on an arrest warrant pending from an incident in February. He was arrested and taken to the station, where he was charged with Break and Enter, Wear Disguise, Assault and Threatening. He was released and ordered to stay away from the victim. He will appear in court in September.
