south Simcoe Police Daily News Release – 04Oct2016

(Innisfil, ON) On Monday, October 3, 2016, a woman reported to South Simcoe Police that she had been in an abusive relationship. She told the investigation officer of numerous occasions where she had been assaulted by her boyfriend. A 35 year old Innisfil man turned himself in and was charged with three counts of Assault and one count of Mischief. He was released on conditions to refrain from contacting the victim. He was rearrested a short time later after breaching those conditions. He has since been held in custody for a bail hearing and charged with Breach of Undertaking.

The South Simcoe Police would like to acknowledge the Ontario Provincial Police constable who met the victim at a traffic stop and noticed an injury. The victim may not have reported this crime without the support and encouragement of this officer.

Break & Enter

(Bradford, ON) On Tuesday, October 4, 2016, around 8:00 a.m., a Miller Park Avenue resident came home to find a man in her house. The suspect pushed past the woman and fled west on Holland Street West. Responding officers, including the Canine Unit, were unsuccessful in locating the man. He is described as male, in his 30s, about 6 feet tall, wearing a black hoodie and tan pants. The investigating officers discovered the suspect entered the home through a ground floor window.
