On Thursday, November 3, 2016, at approximately 9:30, South Simcoe Police were called to an Alcona home by a woman reporting an assault by her husband. After the couple returned home from having dinner, an argument ensued, during which the victim was grabbed and pushed repeatedly. The assault continued until the victim called 9-1-1. A 30 year old Alcona man was arrested on scene and charged with Domestic Assault. He was released on conditions to stay away from the victim and reside elsewhere until his court date in December. The victim was not injured.
