Domestic Assault 

(Bradford, ON) On Monday, October 31, 2016, South Simcoe Police were called to a home in Bradford, after a neighbour overheard a commotion. Officers arrived and spoke to the couple, who denied any trouble. The next day, the woman involved in the incident came to the station to report that she had been assaulted by her husband, but had feared telling officers while her husband was present. She stated that he had grabbed and pushed her, as well as damaging the walls inside the home. 

A 41 year old Bradford man has been arrested and charged with Domestic Assault and Mischief. He was released on conditions to reside elsewhere and to avoid the victim. The woman was treated for minor injuries.

Breach Probation 

(Bradford, ON) On Wednesday, November 2, 2016, around 2:30 a.m., South Simcoe Police investigated a man in the Bradford downtown area after a report of a dispute. The man, who was known to the officer, is currently on probation for a previous conviction. He is under a strict curfew, and was breaching the conditions of his probation by being out late. The 25 year old Bradford man was released from custody after agreeing to attend court in December. He was charged with Breach of Probation. 

(Bradford,ON) It was a scary Halloween for staff and patrons of a Bradford pharmacy last night, as two men robbed the store of drugs at gunpoint. On Monday, October 31, 2016, just before 7:30 p.m., two masked gunmen entered the Guardian Pharmacy at 157 Holland Street East. One suspect, who had a black handgun, went behind the counter and immediately went to the safe and began emptying it of narcotics. The second suspect, who was armed with a large silver knife, corralled an employee and the lone customer in a corner. Once the drugs were obtained, the suspects fled the store. Neither store employee nor the customer were injured.
