(SOUTH BRUCE COUNTY, ON) – The South Bruce OPP has been receiving reports of car/deer collisions from across the detachment area. To date, there have been no injuries reported at the car/deer collisions. The South Bruce OPP is sending the following reminder to motorists to enhance roadway safety:
o Deer are more active in the Spring and Fall
o They are powerful animals that can appear on the roadway with little or no warning
o Obey posted speed limits. Travelling at faster speeds reduces your time to react to hazards on the road
o Constantly scan for hazards while you drive; particularly when driving at daybreak or dusk.
o Always wear your seatbelt. It will protect you in a crash
