SOUTH BRUCE OPP INVESTIGATE CANADA DAY WEEKEND CRASHES
(KINCARDINE TWP, ON) – On July 1, 2012 at 1:25 pm, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a 3 vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 21 and Durham Street in Kincardine Township. Officers arrived to find that a northbound Model “T†Ford turned onto Durham Street in the path of a southbound Hyundai Accent. The Hyundai collided with the Model “Tâ€, and then struck a Chrysler Intrepid that was stopped waiting to turn onto Durham Street. The driver of the Model “Tâ€, 53 year old Pierre STRAETEN of Linwood was charged with Turn not in safety. There were no injuries reported at the scene.
(BRANT TWP, ON) – On June 30, 2012 at 6:18 am, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a car/deer crash along Concession 8 in Brant Township. Officers arrived to find that a black Ford Escape had been travelling along Concession 8, Brant Township, when the deer jumped onto the roadway. There were no injuries reported at the scene.
(BRUCE TWP, ON) – On June 29, 2012 at 9:26 pm, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle crash along Highway 21 in Bruce Township. Officers arrived to find a red Chevrolet Cobalt had been travelling northbound along Highway 21 when the vehicle left the roadway and ended up in the east ditch. The driver, 18 year old Jordan VOISON of Bruce Township, has been charged with Careless driving. There were minor injuries reported at the crash.
(KINLOSS TWP, ON) – On June 29, 2012 at 5:07 pm, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a 2 vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 9 and Kincardine-Kinloss Line. Officers arrived to find that a green Mercury Grand Marquis pulled out into the path of an orange Chevrolet Camaro that was travelling along Highway 9. 23 year old David COURTNEY of Huron Township was charged with Fail to yield. There were no injuries reported at the crash.
