On the 5th day of August 2013, at approximately 5:00PM, a Barrie woman was outside her home with her 23 year old son. The son asked her for her car keys which she refused to give him as he has never driven. She then tried to leave and her son hit her with a beer bottle, causing her to suffer minor injuries.
She immediately entered her residence, locked the front door and contacted police. The son then hit the front window with the beer bottle causing the window to break.
Police attended the location and the son was arrested for the assault and the damage. He was transported to the Barrie Police Service headquarters where he was lodged in cells pending a bail hearing.
