On July 26th, 2013 at approximately 7:45 p.m. the Owen Sound Police Service responded to a residence along the Sydenham river situated in the 200 block of 2nd Avenue East with regards to three found memorial plaques believed to be from Harrison Park. Police contacted Harrison Park personnel who confirmed that four memorial plaques had been removed from the Memorial Garden near the north end of the walking path in the park. It is believed that the plaques were removed earlier in the day. The plaques are valued at approximately $300.00 each. One of the four plaques has not yet been recovered. The plaques are made of heavy metal, weighing approximately five pounds. The dimensions are approximately 8 wide x 4″ tall.
