The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 76 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Three people were arrested.
Handicap Parking
Yesterday, photographs of a truck parked across two handicap spots at a local fast food restaurant in Chatham were shared all over social media.
The Chatham-Kent Police have spoken to the registered owner of the truck and the matter has been resolved.
Motorists are reminded that permits are designated to allow for only one spot to be taken. Those found in contravention, may be issued a by-law ticket.

Man Arrested from Wanted List CK16004080
On August 25, 2015 the man was released from custody for the offence of breach of probation. On January 19, 2016, the man failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Yesterday morning, police located the man walking on Raleigh Street near Cross Street in Chatham. The 25-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to court pending a bail hearing.
Man Charged with Domestic Related Offences CK16004109
On January 27, 2016 the man entered into a Probation Order with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was not to communicate directly or indirectly with a specific Chatham woman.
On February 14, 2016 the man sent the woman a message via Facebook Messenger. Four days later, the man emailed the woman from his own personal account.
Yesterday afternoon, the 33-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with two counts of breach of probation. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Woman Charged with Mischief CK16004114
Just before 6:00 p.m. last night, the woman attended her ex-boyfriend’s residence in Thamesville. The woman began yelling at him and his new girlfriend while kicking the front door. The woman then keyed the new girlfriend’s vehicle and left. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1500.
Around 8:40 p.m. police located the woman and she was arrested. The 35-year-old Highgate woman was charged with mischief over $5000. She was released pending a future court date of March 23, 2016.
Motor Vehicle Collision CK16004085
Yesterday morning, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Adelaide Street near Wellington Street in Chatham.
No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $3000.
A 73-year-old London woman was charged with failing to yield the right of way.
