(HURON EAST, ON) – On January 23, 2011 at approximately 1:00 pm a collision occurred in the Seaforth area between a snowmobile and an SUV. The snowmobile driver had been riding with others and as they approached Coleman Street in Seaforth from a field, the first rider in the line of sleds crossed the road safely but the second rider was struck by an SUV travelling on Coleman Street after the rider failed to stop for the oncoming traffic before entering onto the roadway. The rider was thrown from his sled and suffered non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries. All were treated at the Seaforth Hospital and released. The 19 year old snowmobile driver from Stratford is facing a charge of Fail to Yield to Traffic on Through Highway. LP11019082
