Snowmobiler Arrested After Banging On Doors

(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On February 12, 2017 at approximately 5:46 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received reports of an unwanted person knocking on doors in the area of Forest Hill Drive and Beechwood Drive in the Township of Georgian Bluffs. The suspect was wearing a snowmobile suit.

Police located the suspect operating a 1990 Yamaha PZ4 snowmobile on Beechwood Drive. The operator, who had been drinking alcohol and was found to be a disqualified driver, was arrested and transported to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for breath tests which he failed. Test results indicated his blood-alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.

51-year old Terrance Ronald HILL, of Georgian Bluffs, was charged with impaired driving, over 80 milligrams, and driving while disqualified.

He was held for a bail hearing scheduled on February 13, 2017.
