(ST.MARYS, ON) On Saturday September 11, 2010, Perth County OPP officers received a call from staff at the St.Marys Golf and Country Club advising that golf carts were missing from the golf cart storage area.
Investigation indicated that sometime between 9:30 p.m. on Friday September 10, 2010 and 3:30 a.m. on Saturday September 11, 2010, six EZ GO gas powered golf carts were stolen from the locked outdoor golf cart compound. The golf carts were driven from the compound on the north side of the clubhouse, across the golf course towards an area adjacent to the 12th hole. At the 12th hole access was gained to Road 120 south of the Trout creek bridge where the carts were loaded onto a vehicle. The suspect vehicle left in a north bound direction on Road 120.
The golf carts have white roofs and are sticker marked on the front with “St.Marys Golf and Country Clubâ€. Each of the six carts has a sticker number on the side of the cart. The numbers are 6, 12, 25, 27, 43, and 55.
