SIU Investigation In Guelph

On Tuesday May 17, 2015 at 1:59 a.m. the Guelph Police became involved in an investigation at the Holiday Inn Express located at 540 SilverCreek Parkway North, Guelph.

The police were responding to a male who had rented a room on the third floor of this hotel, and was causing extensive damage. Attempts by the police to speak with the male were unsuccessful. Police engaged the assistance of their Tactics and Rescue Team to assist with gaining access to the room. Entry into the room was successful, however the male was located unresponsive.

The Special Investigations Unit was notified and have invoked their mandate to investigate this matter further. There will be no further communication by the Guelph Police at this time.
