SIU Investigation

On Saturday, November 2, 2013 at approximately 1:30 a.m., police attended a residence on Ontario Street as a citizen had requested police attendance.

There was an interaction between police and a 27-year-old male. The male was subsequently transported to hospital for his injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Charles Snodgrass of London has been charged with:
– Two counts of assault police, contrary to section 270(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada;
– Resist arrest, contrary to section 129(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada; and
– Being intoxicated in a common area, contrary to section 31(4) of the Liquor Licence Act.

The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has been contacted and they have invoked their mandate. No further information will be released at this time as the SIU are investigating the matter.
