(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Tuesday July 03, 2012, shortly before 1:30 p.m., Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to a single motor vehicle crash on Road 122 south of Line 42 (south west of Gads Hill).
Investigation determined that a 2000 Honda Civic was travelling north bound on Road 122 when it approached an S curve. The vehicle which was being operated by a 17 year old male from the Municipality of West Perth left the paved portion of the roadway and entered the east ditch. The vehicle struck a utility pole snapping it in half. The front seat passenger, a 17 year old male from Gads Hill as well as an 18 year old male passenger in the rear seat, were transported to Stratford General Hospital with minor injuries. A fourth 17 year old male passenger was uninjured.
As a result of this investigation, the driver of the vehicle has been charged with careless driving. Hydro one attended and made the necessary repairs.
