Single Vehicle Crash – 17 Year Old Air Lifted To London

(BRANT TWP, ON) – On June 14, 2012 at 12:42 pm, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle crash along Side road 30 north in Brant Township. Officers arrived on scene to find that a Red Ford pickup truck had been travelling north along Side road 30 when it left the roadway and rolled before coming to rest in the west ditch.

There were 3 occupants in the truck at the time of the crash, 2 received minor injuries. One of the passengers, a 17 year old male, was taken to the Chesley Hospital then sent by Air Ambulance to Victoria Hospital in London with serious injuries.

Members of the OPP West Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit responded to assist the South Bruce OPP at the scene.

Side road 30 north was closed from Concession 12 to Concession 10 in Brant Township for the safety of emergency responders. It has since re opened to traffic.

The investigation is in its early stages. Anyone with information is asked to contact the South Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
