Single Vehicle Collision – 19 Year Old Airlifted To London

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently on scene investigating a single motor vehicle collision that has occurred on Hawkins Road between Saratoga Line and Prosperity Line.

At approximately 8:15 a.m. a passerby came across a Ford Ranger pickup truck that had slid off the roadway into the south ditch colliding with a tree.

The single occupant, a 19 year old male driver from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh was extricated from the vehicle by Lucknow Fire Department & Goderich Fire Department personnel. He was then transported to hospital in London by air ambulance with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
