(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – A 30 year old driver will have to find an alternative means of transportation after his vehicle was impounded and his driver’s licence was recently seized. On October 17, 2014 at approximately 12:27 p.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer spotted a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck travelling northbound on Base Line at a high rate of speeding. A check on the vehicle’s speed with a RADAR device revealed the vehicle was travelling at 151 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.
The driver, 30 year old Simon CULLIGAN from Stratford has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle. His driver’s licence has been suspended for seven days and his vehicle has been impounded for seven days. He has a court appearance scheduled for December 16, 2014 at Provincial Offences Court – Goderich.
