Wingham Copwatch recently stated they were considering launching drones to monitor the Wingham police in response to complaints of false arrests, missing video, excessive force, dereliction of duty, and constant “patrols” outside their one square mile of Wingham.
The drone patrol idea has received a lot of positive feedback, and requests to also track and monitor North Huron town staff. Town staffing level constantly grows, ballooning North Huron’s staffing expense to 125+% of what is raised by taxes.
Wingham Copwatch aims to have drones in the air by mid-January 2017.
