WFP has received a polite and reasonable request to remove an OPP
press release from our archive. One of the primary goals of
WFP was to archive all press releases from the OPP and local police,
and make it searchable. This was similar to what the OPP was
doing many years before with crimealerts.net.
We now are considering modifying our policy of leaving police press
releases online indefinitely.
What is your opinion on who should be allowed to have their police
press release blocked/removed, and how long should they stay online?
Pedophiles, Traffickers, Those charged with Child Porn, Spousal
Abusers, Racers, Drunk Drivers, Drug Dealers, Meth & Hard Drugs,
Marijuana Charges, Child Abuse, etc.
Should repeat offenders be able to have their police press releases
blocked, or should it be only for those listed once?
