Should Local Pedophiles Have Their Pictures Posted?

On April 6, 2012 the Wingham Police Service informed the public of the following:

On 6 April, the Wingham Police Service made an arrest following an investigation into an alleged sexual offence. The Wingham Police received a complaint that a man had inappropriately touched a 12 year old boy in his apartment. A 29 year old Wingham man was arrested and is being held in custody pending a bail hearing. Charges are pending.

On April 7, 2012 the Wingham Police Service informed the public of the following:

Further to the release last night, Adam Wilkins, aged 29, of Wingham has been charged with Sexual Interference and two counts of Breach of Probation. Wilkins was remanded into custody in London and will be appearing in Goderich Court on Tuesday.

Many have complained that his picture was not released. Many police forces release pictures of those charged of sexual offences to see if more victims will come forward, and to inform the public so they can protect their families and community.

Should WFP post and/or link to his picture, even if the police do not release the image?

If you think the public should have access to his picture, vote Thumbs Up.

If you think his privacy should be protected, and his picture should not be posted, vote Thumbs Down.
