Shots Fired In Richmond Hill

Investigators with the York Regional Police #2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking suspects after a 23-year-old man was shot in the Town of Richmond Hill.

On Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at approximately 12:30 a.m., police attended King William Crescent, which is in the area of Red Maple Road and Bantry Avenue for sounds of gunshots. When officers arrived, they checked the area and located shell casings in a parking lot. Officers began searching the area for a vehicle that was seen leaving the scene. The vehicle was located a short time later pulling into a nearby hospital. The occupants were identified as a 23-year-old male victim who was suffering from non-life-threating injuries, and his friends who had driven him to the hospital.

Witnesses advised that there were four male suspects wearing dark clothing.

Investigators are asking any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time of the incident that have not yet spoken to police, or anyone with information to come forward.
