Shots Fired at Shelborne Street Townhouse Complex

On Thursday, May 26, 2016, at 11:31 pm, the London Police Service responded to a townhouse complex located at 796 Shelborne Street after receiving a 911 call from a citizen reporting the sound of gunshots. Upon arrival, police discovered evidence that gunshots had in fact been fired. Investigators attended the scene for forensic examination and to canvass the residents of the townhouse complex for information. The preliminary findings appear that a taxi carrying a single male passenger was the intended target of the shots. A second vehicle that was unattended and parked in the complex lot was discovered to have also been hit with a round. It is believed that this second vehicle was an unintended target.

It does not appear that any persons were hit or injured.

Investigators are appealing to anyone with information about the incident, including information about suspicious persons or vehicles in the immediate area at the time, to call the London Police Service at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in on-line anonymously to www.londoncrimestoppers.com.
