Barrie Police were called to the Barrie south end Wal-Mart after receiving a call from store security that two adult males were in the store and were attempting to steal two shopping carts full of electronics. The two suspects were exiting store when officers arrived on scene. Both males were taken into custody.
Further Investigation revealed that one suspect was visiting the country from the United Kingdom and was schedule to return home in seven days. He was charged with theft under $5000; Possession of stolen property under $5000; and mischief under $5000. He was held for a bail hearing.
The second suspect is currently in the country on a student visa from India. He to was charged with Theft under $5000; Possession of stolen property under $5000; and mischief under $5000. He was also held for a bail hearing.
$1800.00 in electronics was recovered.
