On Sunday the 10th of August at about 2:00 p.m. security officers from a local business on St. Clair Street Chatham recognized a customer in the store from about a month prior who had been consuming food products in the store and had left without paying. The female suspect was with a male and observed to attempt to steal some cologne from the business this time. Both persons were apprehended and Chatham-Kent Police were called.
As a result a 28 year old female from Windsor and a 39 year old male were charged with Theft under $5000 and released with a future court date.
