The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman in connection with a shoplifting complaint in Chatham yesterday.
Just before 3:00 p.m. the woman entered Shoppers Drug Mart on Queen Street and concealed two cans of Similac Sensitive in her purse. An employee observed the woman exit the store making no attempt to pay for the items valued at $64.
The 44-year-old Chatham woman was taken into custody outside. She has been charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
