Shoplifter arrested

On July 22, 2014 at 7:20 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a store in the Stone Road Mall after receiving a report that a shoplifter that had been arrested. It is alleged that the man had left the store wearing new shoes that he did not pay for. Further investigation discovered he was also breaching conditions of his probation order.

A 20-year-old Guelph male has been charged with theft under $5,000 and three counts of breach probation. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on July 23, 2014.
