On Saturday afternoon police were called to attend the Walmart department store at 450 Bayfield Street regarding a shoplifter. Upon arrival the officers were advised that a 20 year old Wasaga Beach women had been apprehended by store security after stealing $498.00 worth of merchandise. The female was arrested and charged with Theft Under $5,000.00 and Fail to Comply Probation. She was taken to the station where she was held pending a bail hearing.
