Suspicious Person – Arrest
On Friday November 9, 2012, at 3:15 a.m., Guelph Police received a call from a concerned citizen regarding a suspicious male on Rosewood Avenue, Guelph. Further information was provided that a male had be seen checking several car doors and residential doors to see if they were unlocked.
Officers attended the area and found a male matching the description given by the concerned citizen crouched down between two vehicles in a driveway on Rosewood Avenue. The officers called out to the male, and he fled. The male was stopped a short distance away and arrested.
A search incident to arrest revealed that he was in possession of a small quantity of Marihuana as well as property believed to be stolen from various vehicles in the area.
The Guelph Police request homeowners on Rosewood Avenue check their vehicle(s) to see if they have any property missing.
Sheldon PATTEN 37 years of Guelph was charged with Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000 and Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marihuana. He was held for a Bail Hearing.
