(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) On Wednesday December 18, 2013, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to a rural address along Hwy 7 (Road 119) just south of Stratford where the homeowner reported thefts from his garage/shed outbuilding.
From information provided by the owner it was determined that unknown persons entered onto the property sometime between 5 p.m. Tuesday December 17th, and 9 a.m. Wednesday December 18th. The unlocked, unattached garage/shed was entered and the vehicles inside were rummaged through. Small change was removed from inside the vehicles. The thieves then proceeded to remove an 11hp Champion generator and a Stihl gas powered cut-off saw.
The Perth County OPP is requesting anyone who may have observed a suspicious vehicle pulling out of a driveway along Hwy 7 Just south of Line 29 (Stratford City Limits) during the time in question, to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.
