Shawn THIBERT – Drunk Driving

(STRATHROY-CARADOC, ON) – On November 23, 2017, at approximately 8:00 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of an erratic driver on Provincial Highway 402, Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc.

Officers located the vehicle and determined that the 40-year-old male driver of the vehicle had consumed alcohol. He was placed under arrest and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath tests.

As a result of the police investigation, Shawn THIBERT, of Sarnia, has been charged with Impaired Operation and Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC).

The accused’s vehicle has been seized for 7 days and his driver’s licence suspended for 90 days.

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on December 21, 2017.
