Investigators with the York Regional Police #1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged a 32-year-old man and are seeking the public’s assistance in locating additional suspects following incidents of theft and use of stolen credit cards.
Police began investigating after receiving a report that between 3 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, three suspects entered an unlocked vehicle parked at a residence in the area of Wellington Street East and Yonge Street in the Town of Aurora. The suspects stole a wallet containing cash and several credit and debit cards. A short time later the suspects began using the cards at various locations using the tap option.
During the investigation, officers obtained video of the suspects entering another vehicle in the area on the same night. Police are encouraging any additional victims to come forward.
Two of the three suspects have been identified by police. On Tuesday, October 11, 2016 Robert MCLEOD was arrested and charged. On Tuesday, October 18, 2016, an arrest warrant for was issued for Shawn REID in relation to the incidents. The third suspect described as male, white, 25 to 30 with short, brown hair.

Mr. MCLEOD was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket on October 25, 2016.
