(SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On September 30, 2016 at approximately midnight, the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint of a vehicle towing a trailer and driving erratically in the area of 6 Highway in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.
Police located and attempted to stop the vehicle to speak to the driver. The driver pulled into a laneway, exited the vehicle and ran from Police. Members of the Grey County OPP, the OPP Emergency Response Team and OPP Canine Unit assisted the Bruce Peninsula OPP with the investigation.
Shawn Douglas BALL, age 32, from Wiarton, has been charged with flight while pursued by peace officer.
He is scheduled to appear before the Owen Sound Court of Justice on November 3, 2016, to answer to the charge.
